Meet Our Founder
Chauncey Sims is a native of St. Louis, MO. She graduated with a degree in vocal performance from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia and has been teaching music lessons for over 10 years. She has taught voice, piano, drums, and guitar lessons. Chauncey has performed with Oleta Adams, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and the like. Learning the ins and outs of music education from teaching in various music studios, an early childhood music education based business and serving as a public school educator, Chauncey has developed the keen sense of teaching her love for music in person and even virtually.

Testimonials
"Chauncey,
Thank YOU so much. As a teacher myself, I marveled at the way in which you connected with both our daughters, drew out their personalities and encouraged them to push themselves. You are an incredible teacher and we look forward to continuing lessons with you."

Testimonials
"Chauncey,
My wife and I want to personally thank you for the amazing job that you have done thus far with the piano lessons provided to our daughter Samarah. Each week we can see her confidence build as she plays. This is attributed to how you not only deliver the lessons with passion, superb energy and humor, but it comes with the challenge of delivering the lessons remotely during these challenging times. I can't tell you how great it is that you let her go at her own pace and remain upbeat with her at every lesson. We see the excitement in her and she LOVES to play what she has learned to our family, especially at times from memory. I am glad she has taken to piano so much and I thank you for your part in that."
Testimonials
Picking up an instrument and learning to read music in your late 20s is no easy feat, but I can happily say that Chauncey has made it an exceptionally enjoying endeavor from day one. Her kind spirit, professionalism and mastery of her craft make her not only an exceptional instructor for young children, but for adults who are young at heart as well. I am so grateful for her warm energy and encouragement along the way.

C. Elise School of Music and Theatre Academy of Georgia are proud to present our first annual Intensive Musical Program! Our Intensive Musical Program is a summer program where young scholars will meet to learn the music, blocking and acting that will produce a summer musical in only 3 weeks! When you consider the amount of hard work it will take to put on a full production in such a short time you’ll understand why it’s truly intensive; there’s music, acting, blocking, lines, choreography, costume fittings and so much more. This year, we'll produce Annie Jr.!! This program will be a great place for young scholars(ages 10-15) to gain performance experience, explore their interests in a focused manner, and have some fun during the summer.
